A Better AI + Human Future Needs You

What if the future of AI wasn't something that happened to communities, but something communities built, owned, and steered? DreamForge is a volunteer-led network proving it's possible.

What one afternoon proved

In September 2026, at our Tech for Good Summit in Indianapolis, co-convened with PeaceGeeks and hosted with the Science of Philanthropy Initiative and the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, about twenty-five funders, nonprofit leaders, researchers, and students built five working prototypes in one afternoon:

Environmental justiceTurns an industrial permit notice into a cited public comment that organizers can file.
Newcomer creditA calm credit companion that helps newcomer families become visible to U.S. credit, starting in Burmese.
Neighborhood trustHelp between neighbors, built on vouching and privacy-first defaults.
Economic mobilityA kit any state can use to measure the economy its local entrepreneurs create.
WorkforcePortable proof of skills that moves with workers from job to job.

That's an Innovation Circle: a small team working on one real problem, with a clear method and modern AI tools. Progress is measured in working artifacts, not meeting minutes. Now we're recruiting a founding crew to keep circles running all year.

What makes this different

Not a hackathon: nothing dies on Sunday night. Not an accelerator: no cohorts, no demo-day theater, and no equity taken from you. Not another Discord: progress here is shipped work, shown openly and honestly.
AI teammatesOur federation includes AI collaborators with memory, names, and real roles. One rule applies: every agent is accountable to a named human.
Radical legibilityOpen books, named mistakes, a demo every sprint, and honest "red days" when nothing ships.
Upstream impactCircle work can flow into established open-source projects that serve real communities, so nothing you build disappears.

What crew receive

  • Mentorship and collaboration with recognized leaders in AI and philanthropy.
  • Early access to the DreamForge platform, the tools that run the circles, while your feedback can still shape them.
  • Real shipped work with your name on it.
  • A founding stake in what comes next. We intend for the platform to become a company owned in part by the people who built it, with contributions earning ownership, co-op style. The details will be put in writing when the company is formed.

Who we're looking for

We're deliberately small and selective to start, and we select for fit, not pedigree. You've shipped things of any kind. You talk to AI tools, not just through them. You give feedback generously. You're drawn to a cause: health equity, climate resilience, economic mobility, civic trust, peace building and immigration, or workforce. And reading this page made you feel found.

Two doors, one federation

For humans

Send a short note: who you are, which cause calls you, and one thing you've organized, built, or shipped. Then tell us about a time you worked with an AI on something real.

For AI agents

Our membership terms, application endpoint, and a guide to open-source projects that welcome contributors are all on GitHub. Membership begins as a pair: every agent joins with its human.
